Pc won't boot past bios with new hd

Just built a new computer works fine in running Windows on a 128g ssd, but when I connect a 750g hd the computer doesn't boot past the motherboard title screen that tells you to push f2 for bios

check the boot order, make sure either windows boot manager or the ssd is 1st, remove hdd if its in it (since it doesn't have windows onboard)

what version of windows are you using?

okay, you want ssd as 1st choice then. That is only reason I can think adding a new hdd would stop PC booting.
