I bought a motherboard with USB 2.0 only and a case with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, and what I wanted to know is if that would keep it from working. What I mean by "keeping it from working" is everything turns on but nothing will show up on the monitor. So I don't know if the USB 2.0 is plugged in and the USB 3.0 not being plugged in if it would keep anything from showing up on the monitor. I have also put all other parts so if anyone sees something else that might be wrong with it not turning on please inform me. This is in fact my first build so I do not know to much, but if someone could help me that would be great. Thank you

I have ran all the parts through PcPartPicker and it says its all compatible except for one message that reads "Thermaltake Versa H21 ATX Mid Tower Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers."

If you motherboard does not have the USB3.0 header, you don't need to plug the USB3.0 front panel cable that comes with your case for your entire system to work. It will still work but you just lose the ability to use that 1x USB3.0 front port.

Of course, you still have that 1x USB2.0 front panel you can use as you will plug in the USB2.0 cable from your case to your motherboard's USB2.0 header.

If you direly need another front panel USB port (aside from that 1x USB2.0 port you can connect to with no issues), then you can also use a USB3.0-to-USB2.0 internal adapter cable and plug that USB3.0 port to the other USB2.0 Header in your motherboard (note that your motherboard provides 2x USB2.0 Headers). This is an example of the cable...

Note that the above ports, again, are OPTIONAL. Not plugging those front panel ports to your motherboard will not keep your system from booting/working. It is up to you how many of those two front USB ports you wish to connect.
