On my MSI 970A-G43 board, I can't get more than 8gb RAM to run. I have always ran 2x4gb sticks of HyperX Fury 1866 in slots 2 and 4 and NEVER had an issue. I purchased 2 more 4gb sticks of the identical RAM and now have endless issues. I can get the PC to POST with sticks in 2/3/4, but 3 does not show in BIOS or system properties. System properties shows 8.00gb total (3.96gb usable) which idk wtf is going on with that... My MSI control center shows sticks in 2/3/4. Bios shows 8gb. When I install the last 4gb stick in slot 1, PC will not POST. I have updated to the latest version of BIOS, reset CMOS, etc.... I'm at a loss.... Please help!

Solution
I would take all the RAM out and take one piece and test each socket perhaps one is bad. So if you take the old ones out and just use the new ones will it register 8GBs? Perhaps the chips timings don't match that can happen even when you have the same brand and model number.
