As the title suggests, I'm having issues correctly setting up my dual monitors. I'm going to start off the bat with the notable hardware that I'm using. I won't be listing the processor, ram, etc because I don't really think it's relevant to this situation.

Monitor 1: HP W2082a - 1600 x 900.
Monitor 2: HP LV1911 - 1366 x 768.
Monitor 1 Cable: DVI-D to DVI-D.
Monitor 2 Cable: VGA to HDMI.
x1 Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB
Motherboard: Not entirely sure, but I know the brand is MSI and the chipset is AMD 760G. It has two RAM slots, not four.

What's the best way for me to get these two monitors to display similar colors, contrasts, brightness, etc? I would've bought two of the bigger monitors, but I didn't really have the money, and I had already been using monitor 2 for a while. This is really bugging me.

Monitor 2 Display: http://i.imgur.com/bLmEF4L.png

Monitor 1 is a lot brighter than monitor 2. Not sure if it's portrayed in the pictures though. Is this normal for new monitors? And if so, how do I make them the same or similar? If I try to brighten the old monitor, the colors get too whited out. If I darken the new one, the colors get too blacked out. This is extremely irritating. I used to always use monitor 2 using the same connections and all before I bought the new one, and I know for a fact that it wasn't this dark or messed up. It was just fine. Now that my old monitor is my secondary monitor, it seems darker and the color seems to be messed up. It's gotten to the point that It bugs me so much that I'd rather have my secondary monitor off and just use my primary than to have to stare at it. Probably a little over the top there but that's how much I can't stand the difference. I hope I can resolve this soon. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Sidenote: I'm also having an issue with the second monitor in which I can't put shortcuts properly on the desktop. This has never happened before when using this monitor. It also kind of looks like it's not using it's maximum resolution, but it says it is.

You might have to go into the GPU control options for AMD and change the overdrive settings if the picture is not displaying properly. I had to do that when I encounter weird resolutions. Mine was 1360x768. As for the monitor settings, you are just going to have to play around with the color settings until you get something you like. This is the problem with having two different monitors, even if they are the same brand. You could opt for a color calibrator which helps you determine what colors and settings to change, but those cost money as well. Your best bet is configuring it yourself until you get the settings you like.
