Hello, I just completed my first build. It went well but not totally happy with the performance.
The build is an asrockfm2a88xpro3+ a6 6400k apu, geforce gt 730 2gb gddr5,ddr3 ram.
My question, is there a noticeable difference between the a6 6400k to a a10 7890 performance wise? I'm not an avid gamer but maybe down the road. I think in hindsight I should have gone with intel or amd cpu. Thanks for any advice.Bob

The A10 will be a semi-decent step up, but since you have a 730 then an x4 860k would be better and cheaper.

Wish you would have gotten advice before building.
The BEST cpu in the FM2 platform can not beat out a 4th gen core i3 in performance (and we are on 7th gen now).
You could have gotten a pentium g4560 for almost the same money, been much faster, and had an actual upgrade patch for future growth.

I think I'll save up and go with intel. Although with a mobo update Ill probably have to purchase a new
win10 key...bummer. Lesson learned.

In windows 10 you can login using a local account or a microsoft (oultook, live, hotmail, etc) account.
If you set ito login with microsoft account then it will link the OS to your account and you can transfer the license to your new build.

You will need to do a full reinstall of course, but at least saves you the cost of another windows license.
