Well I bought this gpu a while back and I put it in another computer and it worked great and I updated my computer and now nothing will show up when it's in when I take it out and plug in the hdmi in to the on board hdmi it works fine but nothing will show on the monitor when the gpu is in. It's on Windows 8.1

You might need to change the settings in the bios to ensure the primary GPU adapter is set to PCIE and not integrated. You could also try a different slot on the mobo.
