I wanted to find a 4k Laptop with the 1080, those were really the only two specs I didn't want budge on. I thought I found a pretty good deal for one at 2399$. I was a day late at getting around to ordering it and they sold out. The price jumped tremndously on the next models because they had Kabylake (7820HK). It cost me about 400$ to go from the 6820 to the 7820 (and I lost SSD memory).
I've been watching youtube reviews and searching charts and I can't find any margins between the two. Can someone ease my pain and tell me I've purchused a CPU that will perform better down the road, or do something more fancy than the 6820?
Also, I think Newegg has the L3 Cach on this CPU wrongly represented. They list it at 6 MB, but every other place on the web has the 7820 with 8 MB of L3 Cache. Does anyone have any input on that?
