Hi guys, massive computer build/componentry noob here. In 2013 i had a a custom build pc put together for me after i bought the parts.

Recently, the 'prongs' on my ssd card were bent from me like wiggling it to make it register on the computer - so i tried to straighten them. But i think i may have like let them overlap or something? Because when i tried to put it back into the motherboard and turn the computer on it just sorta...fizzled and never turned on again lmao.

So i'm assuming i fucked the motherboard.

ANYWAY.

I am now either going to get a new pc built, or just replace the motherboard.

Currently I have two radeon HD 7970 8gb ghz edition graphics cards and an nzxt kraken watercooler.

Is this setup in any way limitted by today's standards? Would sinilar/better performance than this setup be so cheap that it's worth just upgrading?

Basically all i do is play league of legends anyway, basically no demanding games. Sometimes i run 2-3 28 inch monitors.

Let me know what you would do. Thaaaankyou!

Depends on your budget, and if you will get into more demanding games soon...

Also depends if you want a MoBo that has upgrade potential or not...

If you are only going to play games like league, i would suggest getting a new mid line SSD and MoBo.... This would run you about 100-200 for a basic SSD and Mobo... And you will be gaming again, taken that nothing else is fried...
If your mobo has an integrated cpu, just chose a new one that has an integrated cpu...

If you want a new pc that is capable of games like ForHonor, Gigantic, Paragon, etc...
I would suggest doing the following...

Get a mobo compatible with your current memory (ram) probably ddr3... If you have money to spend go DDR4 and buy some nice memory units...
make sure...

make sure the Mobo has a M.2 connection for SSD, and make sure it is decently fast for todays standards...

Get an M.2 SSD, which would run about 150-200 dollars....

Keep your Graphics card, Keep PSU, Watercooling kit and Case, and CPU....

If your cpu is integrated to the mobo you are playing on, you will have to get a new one... I suggest an i5 6500-6700... If you want wiggle room and have money chose the K version for overclocking...

Keep your GPU, until you have money to upgrade, if you have money to upgrade now, Go with a GTX 1060 but make sure it is the 6gb version... The 3 gb version is complete trash and will not handle many 1080p games...

The budget setup I mentioned first for only playing league would be about 1-200 bucks...

The upgrade setup for games in the future will be around 4-700 depending on what you upgrade.

Edit: it should be good to know that most mid spec'd parts are better than the top of the line parts in 2013...

Just remember what ever you do... Don't blow your budget, and if you are only going to play league every day.... Just get a MoBo and SSD that is mid performance...

Nearly every mid Mobo and SSD will destroy LoL, the game is very basic to run... And you do not need an amazing cpu, or gpu for that game.
