Hardware :
MOBO : ASrock 970 Extreme 4
GPU : Nvidia Geforce 750ti
RAM : 14GB (3x4GB + 1x2GB) 1333Mhz
Processor : AMD FX8320
OS : Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
SSD/HDD : 128GB SSD + 1.5TB HDD

So I had 8gb installed and my friend gave me 2 extra rams that he had... all these are of same frequency (1333Mhz). I got excited and installed the 2 rams on my mobo (A1 A2 B1 B2)(4 4 4 2)
had (4 0 4 0) before.. now i boot up and get 2gb usable... so i remove 2gb and boot again and now i get 12gb (4 4 4 0).... please help me...(I want to be able to use 2gb aswell)
I've tried different combos (4 4 2 4) (4 2 4 4)(2 4 4 4) but its always 2gb with all of em installed...
Thank you.

Solution
Different ram sizes without a pair can cause compatibility issues as the ram is structured differently. You're actually better off running the three sticks of 4 or just doing 2x4.
