Help choosing the right cpu for me.

I'm planning on buidling a new pc soon and I don't plan on overclocking ever. So with that in mind would I be okay with buying the intel i5-7600 or the intel i5-7500 for my gaming pc?

Either one. They perform very similarly. The o ly difference is clock speed. You may get a few more frames out of a 7600 than the 7500 but they will both become obsolete at the same time

Yeah those would be great options for gaming if you have no desire to overclock. I'd wait for the new AMD CPUs to come out soon to push the prices down some. If you can wait that is. Happy building!

Best price/performance would be the i5-7500.

i5-7500 = 3.4GHz -3.8GHz = ~$196 http://pcpartpicker.com/product/QbGj4D/intel-core-i5-7500-34ghz-quad-core-processor-bx80677i57500
i5-7600 = 3.5GHz -4.1GHz = ~$217 http://pcpartpicker.com/product/3pWrxr/intel-core-i5-7600-35ghz-quad-core-processor-bx80677i57600

For $20 you only get ~9% faster speed. If you can afford it, then you get the slightly faster CPU. If budget is a concern, then save the $20 for something else adn get the i5-7500.
