I'm going to buy a GTX 1080 TI at the end of this month, and I'm running my computer with an I7-4770 is it worth a CPU upgrade? or will it work just fine the way it is? (running on 1440p)

Solution
That is a couple generations old BUT it is still a respectable CPU. I'm afraid bottlenecking with be a factor here with these two but it will still be able to play games at 1440p 60fps easily. I suggest playing it out and see how it goes, but eventually upgrading toward a 6th or 7th gen CPU in the near future. Maybe an i7-7700k or i5-7600k or the 6th gen models of those is good as well.

Alright thanks :), I'll just install the card and see how it goes, and consider a CPU upgrade later, since I can't afford it after buying a card that costs as much as a seperate computer lol
