My 11 year old Laptop will shut down after playing any games.

My 11 year old Laptop will shut down without warning after i play any steam and non-steam game for about 15 minutes. It has a ATI Mobility Radeon 5145 Graphics 512 MB card and a AMD Premium Vision CPU, 4 GB of ram. Mostly i play Gothic1,2,3, Unturned and Chivlary Medieval Warfare with about 50 - 60 FPS on Medium. My cooling pad is brand new, about a Week ago bought.
Please help me fix the problem.
(I plan on getting a new PC but it will take a while, so please tell me how to fix the problem on this pc)

Disassemble, clean, test the fan, re-apply thermal compound.

If the fan isn't spinning smoothly, it will have to replaced. Depending on the model refurbished fans might be available, but 11 years is a long time and parts may not be available.

Any available retail PC would perform better, but even used models that are 4-6 years old would be a decent improvement. You can pick them up for $100-150.

I did. The CPU temperature was between 80 and 100 °C.

Well, i am planing on buying a new Gaming pc, cost between 300 and 400 €.
But the fan is ok. It is still working smoothly

I just did. The temperatur sank from 80 - 100 °C TO 50 °C.
I guess its ok now, no more shutting down. Thanks to all of you!

Glad you got it sorted out.
Yeah 11 years of caked up dust makes an excelent airflow blocker to keep all of that hot air in the laptop and turning the cpu into quite hte hand warmer.
