Didnt really know which section to put this on, but here is the deal. When i first built my pc (about 2 years ago) i bought some Crucial ram that i deciced to return because i found out that the memory wasnt compatible with my MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo. So i checked the compatability list and got Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB ram (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9).
In my 2 years of using my pc i havent really ran into any problems with my ram, other than my Cities skylines crashing because i dont have enough ram (mods n shit). So i decided to upgrade and just for sake of it i went to MSI website and decided to verify that the Corsair ram was compatible. To my surprise it wasnt because i recall finding the exact ram i on the compatible list. I ram doesnt have to be on the list to fit with the mobo, but since i have been wanting to buy another pair of the same ram and put it in and the ram hasnt been tested by MSI, do you think i would cause any problems. I just worry that it works now with 2 ram sticks and it wont with 4.
Do you think that if the ram is working fine now it will work fine if i add 2 more of the same ram?
Thanks
