No point for me to get a better CPU if I already own an i7?

Hi, I already own a xeon 1241v3 (the same cpu as a i7 4790 but without an iGPU) and am wondering if there is any need for me to go with the new ryzen 4 cores/8 thread or 6 cores/12 thread CPU if I own a 1060 6gb or rx 480 8gb. Will my CPU be just way too strong that it just gets bottlenecked by my GPU? Is my current xeon CPU already way more than enough? Cuz I was thinking about upgrading the CPU but then I don't know if it won't matter since at this point the GPU's are not strong enough to support 100+ fps in all current games.

I'd like to hear your opinion.

Thanks.

It wouldn't matter, that CPU is as good as an i7 and if your monitor is 1080p 60Hz, no point in getting a new GPU as you won't be able to notice the additional FPS the GPU will push.
RX480/1060 are the best cards for 1080p price-performance wise. They can play almost all games on 1080p over 60Fps.

There are GPUs that will get 100fps in all games if you're not talking 4k only 2 will do so today, in a couple of days you can add the 1080ti to the list and it sounds like the top end AMD GPUs are close to launch as well.

As for upgrading to a ryzen CPU wait till tomorrow we'll have a better picture of things then

I am playing on a 1080p 60hz screen. Just wanted to know if it would matter for me to get a stronger CPU if the GPU itself cannot reach higher frames. Because I am aware that the 1060 and rx 480 are ''mid-range'' gpu's.
