I bought a Benq GW2470 which has 2 HDMI ports and 1 VGA port.
And I also bought a Zotac 1050ti which has 1 display port, 1 HDMI port and 1 DVI port.

However when I connect the card and switch on my computer I get an error saying no signal detected.
If I remove the card and switch on the PC it works fine.

How do I solve this? Have I wasted my money.

Kindly respond as I am in a dilemma and don't know how to proceed...

Prior to this I had a ATI 4300 series card which had a VGA slot in it and it was easier for me to connect my old 19" Dell Monitor.

Gauging from the series of your GPU and the size of your monitor I'm assuming you're eyt working with a Core 2 Duo latform or slighly later? If so can you please pass on your full system's specs?

List them as:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
Chassis:
OS:

If my assumption is correct then you are suffering from an incompatible BIOS and if the PSU is capable of delivering the necessary power to the entire system, then you're going to need to change your platform, which isn't going to be cheap.

As far as the assumption is concerned, yes, maybe you have wasted your money.
