I'm looking to upgrade my CPU. With this upgrade I would need a new motherboard and ram.

I am stuck between these two choices an i7 6700k or an i7 7700k. Here is the thing from what video benchmarks I've watched there is much of a difference, which out of these two I should pick?

I play mainly games and do some video rendering. The main game I play is Arma 3, this is the main reason why I'm looking into upgrading, so I don't know what I should go for exactly. With this upgrade what motherboard would you guys recommend to complement with everything else? I honestly don't know what I should go for.

I also have a EVGA 760 4gig version, would I experience any bottlenecking with these two choices?

Just a quick edit and a question that has nothing to do with cpus, is any one of these better than the other?

Solution
Get a Ryzen7 1700. Pretty similar IPC as the 6700k and 7700k, so games will run about the same. However it has twice the cores and twice the threads, so everything else will have much more headroom. They come out tomorrow, and you should see lots of reviews coming out.

Yeah, my thing right now is money. I'm able to pick up a 6700k for $250 compared to the price that I've seen for the 1700 for 320.

Yeah. When I get more money I plan on getting a 1060.
