What case fans should I use for my Enthoo Luxe build?

Hiya everyone, first time submitting a question. So, first of all, here's my part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VZwq9W

This list is very much subject to change by the way. I'm also a novice, so fair warning. However, as you can see, I have the NZXT Kraken X62 as a CPU cooler that I plan to put on top of the case, and a pack of three NZXT Aer RGB 120mm fans as a start. I will be getting 140mm fans as well, but I just want to know where I should use the 120's compared to the 140's, and how many I should use for intake, exhaust, etc. so I know how many fans to get. Thanks!

Isokolon made some good suggestions. You mentioned getting a pack of 3 120mm fans, where did you plan to use those? Up front as intakes? Is a quiet pc a priority? If so you may want to consider 140mm fans, they can move more air volume at lower rpms generally while remaining quieter.

That case comes with a couple of 140mm fans which are pretty good quality, good performance and quiet. Up there with aerocool, noctua and others. They aren't led though so maybe they won't work for you if you've got a colored build theme in mind. The kraken cooler comes with a couple of 140mm fans so I imagine you'd want to use those with the cooler and mount it up top. Not sure where you had in mind for the 3 120mm fans.

Looking at your build, I'm pretty sure you don't need a 1000W PSU.
650W should suffice and will be easier on your budget. I suggest going for the G3 instead of the G2 though.

Furthermore I would drop the sound card
It doesn't do much than blocking airflow and using up PCI lanes. A 48$ sound card won't be much better than your onboard solution and if you got some serious pro headphones for 250+$ you don't want to use an dedicated internal sound card anyway but go for a external DAC+AMP solution.

Also, do you burn a lot of Bluerays? Because 120$ for an optical drive in 2017 is excessive, especially if you don't have a SSD drive.
There are of course circumstances that make such a drive necessary but otherwise it's just a huge waste of money that could be reinvested smarter somewhere else

Which brings me to my next point: get a SSD. Crucial's MX300 is nice, as is Samsung's 850 Evo. 250-300GB for Windows and some of your favourite applications should suffice next to your HDD

As for fans the case comes with all the necessary fans preinstalled and they are premium quality Phanteks fans (best out there)

Either 2 120 or 140mm fans can be mounted in front as intake, I'd do that in place of the 200mm stock intake fan. There's little advantage to using the bottom fan mounts with hard drives installed and the psu cover in place. You can mount the 120mm led fans to the drive cage if you want them to be more visible through the side window.

Thanks for the suggestions! Definitely making changes to my list! I did the 1000W PSU because a friend of mine said to go with 1000W, which I thought was excessive as well, but since I'm a novice, I said to myself, "hey, he knows better than me, so I'll listen to him." coughs I happened to have it at 650W before, I guess I can tell him that I told him so. coughs

I do happen to burn a lot of Blu-rays, yes! CD's, DVD's, and tons of Blu-rays for backups in case I lose the original disc, which has happened too many times to count, and I have quite the extensive of movie collection, so yes, it is necessary. I burn music, and even files on CD's and DVD's as a makeshift flash drive, not to mention I usually watch movies on my PC via disc. Plus, well, some of the software I have is installed via disc, so. $120 is a lot for an optical drive, hopefully I can find one cheaper of course, but if I can't, it is something that I would I guess be fine with doing. I was looking at SSD's, but I didn't know what brand was really good yet and how many GB's to even go with for an SSD, so I was holding off on it, but since you told me, you pretty much answered my prayers there.

Thanks for replying, really does mean a lot to me! Definitely will be taking your suggestions. I never knew Phanteks fans were that good, so I may even ditch out the LED fans and keep them, possibly. LED's are a definite theme in my build, yes, but if they're really that good, I might keep them. I have lots of LED RGB stuff in my build to plenty make up for not having LED fans, so it's a possibility I might keep them. However, if I don't, I think I'll take your suggestion and put an 120mm LED fan on the drive cage to be visible by the window, and 2 LED 140mm fans for intake. I will be using the X62 Kraken cooler at the very top, yes. Thanks a lot for replying to this newbie, it's really beneficial to get critiques and answers from professionals, so thank you! :D
