I'm running Windows XP SP2 but explorer.exe has been crashing a lot recently whenever I try to open folders. I either get a "0x7c9105f8 referenced memory at 0x00000010" error when I open a folder, or a "0x7c919902 referenced memory at 0x10961f84" error when I open My Computer. PLEASE HELP!!!

First install the SP3 upgrade. If that does not help, try different RAM. If that also doe not help, try a clean Windows setup.

1. right click on C -
2. go to bottom - Properties
3. go to Tools
4. run the first option. error checking scan disc
5. run the second option, defragmenter.
6. Run a full virus scan
7. You May need a New Hard Drive, and OS loaded fresh onto the New HDD
