CCTV 500gb hardrive used...Need to format??

I have a h.264 Kkmoon dvr/avr and I am trying to use a WD sata 3 Green and device does not recognize it. When I put it in the docking station and use Admin priv. and check it, it shows ok. Can I format it and if so what format. Any help appreciated

When you "check" the drive (i.e., the drive is "ok") no current format information is provided - correct?

Overall all, you want the drive to be in a format (re-formatted) to something recognized by the DVR player.

Not really sure where you are in the overall process.

However if you google "cctv 500 disk drive format" you will find a variety of links and videos that may help.

Take a look and narrow down the search criteria as is applicable to your situation.
