After changing from an old Asus 24" to an LG 34UC79G-B, video card is presenting all sorts of issues.
First the RadeonSettings.exe crash, than the video driver itself, or the image jumps up and down,
Or the text turns blue when moving around (scrolling)- this only happens when using Display port, and not on hdmi.
I think this is the monitor since when the image was jumping all around, I was able to make a screenshot, and after rebooting, the screenshot looked like nothing ever happened.
Fx-8300, Asus R9 270x, 16GB Ram
If you have an idea, please leave out the "update driver, uninstall reinstall drivers".

I got the same problems on both interfaces. The only thing that's better, is that text looks natural when moving the windows - on HDMI
I don't know yet who is causing the problem, it might be the video card, due to the fact that I'm forcing a greater resolution than before (2560x1080 vs 1920x1080) or it might be the (new) monitor since it worked just fine for the last 2 years with my old display. Further investigation is required, will come back after some more testing.

Ok. So I'll have to decide fast if to return the monitor or to place the video card under warranty. So here are more details:
When the image was scrambled (see the image in the first post), the OSD menu of the monitor was always stable, that made me think that is the video card at fault, also
since i connected this monitor I always get a crash: "radeonsettings.exe has crashed", also I got a video card driver crash. Pretty nasty.
I tried different versions of Radeon software, and different verisons of video card drivers -> same results -> :/

I tested the monitor and it worked fine, also I tested the video card and it worked fine. When I got home; the usual: catalyst crashed, then video driver crash, then black screen and forever dead.
Now the card is in service and I'm using an ati x1650 in the mean time.
Thx for the solution! (your assumption was correct)
