I was playing league of legends and I had my setting son very high and was getting 20-30fps while i had it set to lock at 60 so i turned my settings down to medium but kept it locked at 60 nothing changed I was still getting 20-30 so I changed it to uncapped and still nothing except the occasional jump to 40 if nothing was happening.

Solution

Excellent. That is preferable.

Let's try the DDU/driver reinstall and see what happens.

Thanks for providing that info.

I'm more confident it's a driver issue. You can try these steps to resolve your low fps issues.

1. Download and install Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) @ http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

2. Download latest driver from Nvidia website. Do not install this yet.

3. Run DDU. It will completely uninstall GPU drivers.

4. Restart PC

5. Reinstall Nvidia driver that you downloaded.

6. Restart & check to see if your low fps issue is resolved.

Another consideration...

Do you adjust game settings through the GeForce Experience application? I've found that the "recommended" settings the GF Experience app suggests aren't always optimal for performance.

However, LoL is relatively light-weight in terms PC requirements. It is foremost a CPU-intensive game. Your setup should breeze through LoL with all the graphics settings maxxed.
