Will an AMD Ryzen 7 7100 bottleneck my GTX 1070?

Hey guys. So the new ryzen processors have just come out and I'm planning on buying one to replace my fx 9370. So what do you say? Is it worth it or not? Thanks in advance.

If you overclock to 3.8 its fine. But not for 4.0 GHz.
1700 is low binned.
Considering the large amount of voltage people use for the Ryzen 7 1700 of ~1.4V+, which according to AMD might cause voltage-related shortened lifespan of the CPU. Its not about reaching 4.0 GHz, but rather about using a lower voltage to stabilise the clock below 1.35v.

Nevertheless it will not bottleneck a GTX 1070 significantly even at 1080p.

EDIT: Go for the 1700X.
Why are people so obsessed with "will X bottleneck X?" It's not that simple, something will always be the slowest component in a build depending on what kind of workload you're putting it through. That being said, if you're playing at 1440p or 4K, probably not. If you're playing at 1080p 144hz, then absolutely it will hold the 1070 back a bit and you should overclock as much as you can. It will still be a massive upgrade over the 9370 though. If you want big framerates at 1080p or play esports games primarily, the 7700K is still the best option. If you can actually leverage the extra cores with a task other than gaming or want the extra cores for games possibly using more cores in the future, then the 1700 makes a lot of sense. Just asking if it will bottleneck though doesn't take any context into account and therefore isn't a good question.

A Ryzen7 1700? It shouldn't, at least not by very much at all - but there's more at play here (resolution, specific titles whether CPU or GPU intensive etc).

the 1700 is impressive for the price. A 3.7GHz boost clock is pretty reasonable, but I haven't seen how the Ryzen chips boost. If it's only a single core that can boost to 3.7GHz, that might not be as helpful with games utilizing more cores.

If it can boost 2-4 cores to 3.7GHz, it should be a very respectable CPU. Especially at the price.

For now I will be playing at 1080p 60hz. So what would be the best choice? Maybe a Ryzen 7 7100X would be better? The games I will be testing on: ARK: Survival Evolved, Battlefield 1, Conan Exiles.
Pc specs:
CPU: AMD FX 9370
GPU: ASUS GEFORCE GTX 1070 FOUNDERS EDITION
PSU: EVGA SUPERNOVA 850W G2
CPU COOLER: CORSAIR H100I
MOBO: ASROCK 990FX EXTREME9
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE PRO 2x8GB 2400MHZ DDR3
HDD: WD 2 TB
SSD: SANDISK ULTRA II 240GB
CASE: CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 750D AIRFLOW EDITION

1700X doesn't really seem like a good deal compared to the 1700 tbh if you already have an H100i. Just set the Vcore on a 1700 to 1.42 or something and see how much you can get out of it. The 1700X and 1800X are just better binned, but the OC headroom on them is so small anyways that you'll probably end up spending an extra $200 on an 1800X or $100 on a 1700x for 100-200MHz.
