For the competition between i7-7700K and RYZEN 5 1500X who's the real King of Quad-Core in the first half of 2017?

or it still be too soon to ask?

Thanks in advance - Ju

That said, even the 4770 is really no slouch compared to Sky/Kaby Lake.

That's was a good read. So for now if i understand currectly RYZEN real performance have been effected by lacking of optimization support in resolution from game developer?

I agree with you. But let's pretend if you have to guess just for fun. do you think 1500X stand a chance when it facing 7700K?

For me i think the winner might be 7700K if 1500X are not OCing but if they are runing on the same Ghz both probably perform similar to each other i think.

The price is good , but did AMD Drop the bomb again??? We get what we pay for or we getting less performance thane excepted.

what ?/ ''So for now if i understand currectly RYZEN real performance have been effected by lacking of optimization support in resolution from game developer? ''

next excuse please ? what about all them hype reviews saying it was soooo good like the toms one and all ??

you don't think developers and who ever did not have a clue on all this from AMD ? no its all been the hype train as all ways remember how AM3+ and fx cpu were all reviewed and hyped and see how that ended up ..

I just got that gut feeling its bulldozer all over again just cost you $200 more that a 8350 and stranded to win-10 and with that back to what you said ''effected by lacking of optimization support ''

now think how long do you think it will be before anyone bothers and spend money to optimize just for AMD ??? that's out of pocket expense

maybe 6 months to a year from now to really see where it stands for now no way could I risk that investment over intel build blind . I told folks with nice haswell build before I even would do skylake I would wait to see what intel offers after this 100/ 200 series platforms aint impressing me at there cost ??

The answer is simple, at the same clocks the 7700K is 5% faster. At gaming with a 1080ti @1440p a 4Ghz 1500X vs 5Ghz 7700K are still between 0-5% of each other in fps.

1500X costs almost half of the i7 quad. What do you think? i7 line up is completely deleted by Ryzen, want an i7 quad? 1500X is that chip with more or less the same performance for half price.

Only when you cherry picked result. When test on more variety of games (including some of which that AMD picked as showcase i.e BF1) i7-7700k dominates the Ryzen 5 1500X.

And as GPU advances very quickly compare to CPU, if the next gen of GPU is 50% faster then even at 4K the difference becomes more apparent when GPU is less bottlenecked.
