So I have been running into a lot of problems lately with some FPS. I use a dual monitor set up with my main monitor being 144hz 1080p

SPECS
Amd fx8350 black edition-CPU

r9 390x 8gb-GPU

16gb-ram

990xa-ud3-motherboard

The problem I have is when im playing games, I use to be able to play EVERYTHING on ultra, now its hard to even play on medium settings, Games like League of Legends, or Counter strike:Global offensive start at about 200fps but spike so bad their is a light screen tear. Enough to feel the tear. It just randomly drops really hard, and when I play BF1 (which I know is more cpu demanding) I can barely do anything anymore without FPS dropping really hard.

Any help would be appreciated, drivers are up to date, I've tried almost anything so far. Is the CPU bottlenecking my GPU?

Clear out the dust! if there is heaps of it, it will insulate your PC and keep heat in, leading to reduction of performance.
Generally I rip down and rebuild my PC every year due to the dust that settles on the components, my dad's PC was so bad with dust it actually wouldn't start till i cleaned it.

On a side note, I had an 8350 FX black and R9 390x - sell the AMD and buy intel! i always thought my issue was the GPU, but not at all! When i swapped my R9 390x from AMD to intel i went from 30 FPS on max graphics to 100FPS on max graphics and also got a 20 degree Celsius reduction in temp on the R9. AMD might have 8 cores, but its 8 average cores vs a similarly priced i5 from intel with 4 very good cores.
