How should I hook up the following :

Head Unit : Sony DSX-A100U
Front Speakers : Sony XS-FB132E
Rear Speakers : Sony XS-FB693E
Sub-woofer : Sony XS-NW12002
4 Channel Amp : Sony XM-N1004
2 Channel Amp : Sony XM-N502

Should I use the 4 channel channel amp to power all the speakers and the 2 channel one to power the sub (by bridging) OR no amplification for front speakers (direct connection to the HU) and the 4 channel amp to power the rear speakers and the sub and save some money?

Also, keep in mind that the Head Unit just has 2 preouts. So will using RCA splitters lead to drop in loudness and would cause clipping?

Hi, You should be perfectly fine hooking the 4 main speakers direct to the head unit, as the amps in the head units these days are much more efficient and are designed to out put enough power to handle them on its own. I doubt you will need that extra amp for the speakers, and it will be a load of extra wiring too!
Bear in mind though, the sub is 420w RMS, and the 2-channel amp, is only 170W RMS

You might want to use a slightly more powerful amp to get the most out of the sub, and to avoid damaging the voicecoil through under-driving it.

Always check RMS true wattage power ;)

Hope this helps, and good luck mate.
