which gpu is better game design

I want to build a pc for game design and need a gpu my nephew says that he does hes game designing on a gtx 960 but i think a quadro should be better for game designing should i get a quadro or gtx 960

the quadro is not a high performance processor. meaning u can get high fps with it. gtx cards run way faster and r optimised to give high fps where as quadro cards are more quality oriented like 10 bit colour encoding and opencl features.
