I just got done building my pc and when I tried turning it on all the fans and the motherboard did go onn but I didn't get a signal and there is a red light next to dram. The mb is mounted in the case with 3 standoffs because there were only 3 with the case but I don't think that is the problem. My parts are:
I5 7600k
Msi radeon rx 480 8gb
Msi z170 sli plus
Samsung evo 850 250gb
Be quiet! Pure rock slim
Bitfenix neos zwart/zwart
Cooler master GM G550M
Corsair ddr4 vengeance LPX 2x 8GB 3000 c15.

Edit:just tried it with 1 ram slot the same happened

new build and seating the memory in the slots can be tricky may just not be seated properly or making good contact in the slot .

may have to pull them out and lock them back in firmly sometimes more then 2 times or so ? tough I would start with one stick at a time and test pre each [check manual for proper one stick slot to be used and so on for 2 ,3 and 4 ]

I also don't get why these newer cases are that way 3 standoffs ?? silly and cheap in my opinion

just a lot of times it just don't seat and lock in the slot just right and with 3 standoffs I don't see how the board is not flexing bad when you try to push something in any slot and causes it not to seat proper ??? I don't get it

''Cons: Well poop, the PC wont run because of the case, so I cant say that I like anything about it considering that when ANY variation of guts go into this case it will cause hardware errors to generate. After days of digging and researching, the case is not allowing the mounted board to ground properly, so the build must be manipulated to work. For someone who is new to building this would be a deal breaker issue as it is rather difficult to diagnose.'

good catch on that bios update on that 100 series - I hope your able to flash with out needing a supported CPU to boot to do so ,, i'll bet you will now need one . cant think of any board that will you maybe back to newegg to buy a CPU to flash with ??

be sure you get one that supported under ALL bios from first release to latest or you may find your right back to where your at now
