So I am playing on a notebook with these decent specs:
Intel Core i5-6200U 2.8GHz CPU
NVIDIA GeForce GT940MX 2GB DDR3
12GB 2133MHz DDR4

So i thought to myself why not try Battlefield 1 so I did.
I tried to turn the DX12 mode switch of the game ON and told me to restart the game. After that the game loads, goes in fullscreen mode, mouse cursor flickers, device disconnect sound, and there... Intel GPU crashes... Dunno why... I have the latest drivers installed

Without DX12 mode the game runs perfectly though...

The gpu in the laptop is holding you down and below BF1 minimum requirement

Yeah I guess... but that doesn't explain why the Intel GPU crashes and not the NVIDIA. Played it today running 1280x720 @ Medium Settings, VSYNC ON, Overclocked the GPU runs 45 fps average :3 on DX11 mode

Why are you playing on the Intel GPU? If you have drivers for both, right click on the game and there should be an option something like "Run with graphics processor", after this you select the Nvidia GPU.

You should also go to Nvidia control panel and set the Nvidia as the default GPU.
