I dont ask for the test because the values, i asked if you make it because those SSD chisets get very very hot under load (Samsung could get close to 100º on a full disk write).

The iddle values are normal, if you dont make any read/write on the disk nor a test the max ones are a bit high (but nothing problematic, anything under 80º are normal).

Get used that those SSDs get very hot on long read/write operations, could even on some cases be throtled down,

Have you make a read/write test on the SSD?

For iddle is high, but after a read/write heavy session is normal or even low.

Those are close to the normal values that i get from a Samsung 951 but used as SO and games drive.

I had the same question and so wrote MyDigital's tech support. Here's the reply:

Not to worry, our drive definitely runs hot, but the main reason for that is because we put the heat sensor on the controller itself whereas our competition put the sensor further away on the PCB. You will not need to worry unless the drive breaks the 120c mark.

Also, a review on legit reviews com references the temperature of the Phison controller and that it is stable up until 125°. It begins to throttle at 80°. In their testing, hours of intensive RW activity never got the controller over 80, although it bounced right into the 70s.

I thought it was high, too -- glad for the 5 year warranty.
