So today my new PC case arrived and its the corsair Spec-01 and its a good case, but I put my motherboard in there and I took it out of a dell inspiron 660s and i also took out other components. But some of the components for the power supply arnt long enough I was just wondering if the mother board I have will fit a 600w power supply.

Solution
Looks to have a standard 24pin/4pin setup so a normal ATX PSU should work without issue. The PSU weberdarren97 linked you should work fine. If you wanted to go with a modular and avoid the tangle of cables, something like this wouldn't be bad

Also do you need a 600w? Most systems, even with high end cards, can get away with a 550 easily enough and it'd bring down the price point of the PSU.

Yes.

Please don't freak out because the unit I recommended is only 80+ Bronze. 80+ is only an efficiency standard and does not represent actual unit quality in any way. Although it's a slightly older design, the unit I suggested still competes with many modern, somewhat premium power supplies.

The 620W version is on sale for less than the 520W version. That's the only reason I recommended it.

M12ii series is basically a modular S12ii (the one I linked above). It carries a slightly higher price, but is still cheaper than a GQ unit and competes well. http://pcpartpicker.com/product/TgW9TW/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii520bronze

^ Agreed. Seasonic makes great PSUs. Nothing wrong with a Bronze unit and it should pair nicely with your rig. Modular is nice, but not as needed as a quality part.

Oh yeah absolutely. The OP was asking for a 600 range or I wouldn't have bothered with the GQ.

I'd say about 250-275 watts total power draw, so at least a 450W power supply.

Darn thing copied over two response codes and I can't delete the first. Oh well, deal with this glitch I guess.
