is it safe to change my cpu and put on a cooler while the motherboard is inside the case with everything connected,i ask because im getting a new cpu soon and i dont really want to dis assemble it all.
You may have to disassemble because your new cooler may require a different backplate and mounting hardware. Changing the CPU with the motherboard in the case is more difficult but not impossible. Disconnect the power from the wall and attempt to turn on the computer to discharge any remaining voltage from the power supply capacitors.
