I am wanting to build a high end gaming machine using a Fatal1ty X99 Professional Gaming i7 motherboard,but also wanting to use the Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition i7-5960X 3 GHz 8-Core Processor - 20 MB - LGA2011-v3 Socket and the website is not very specific? Sorry for all the questions but I am looking around 5K and specifically need to know if it is compatible ? So my question is will that CPU work with this mb ? Thanks everyone been a while since i built a 4 K BEAST

Yes. X99 is for socket 2011-v3, which the i7-5960x uses. You should be fine to use that motherboard.
