stress testing neccesary?

As the title says.

I am curious to know what stress testing will do for me if i have a locked clock cpu.

I have g4600 , gtx 660 oc, 8gb ram 2400ddr4
Asus b250m k mobo

I just want to play games on decent settings and frames. Just built the pc.

Should I consider some of these testing and if so why?

Or any all round testing software ?

Not really necessary for a stock system. Stress testing is done when overclocking to see if the system is stable.

Edit. If there are problems with your system then stress testing can sometimes be used to help pinpoint the part with the problem.
