Every 10 minutes or so (sometimes longer) when using my Chrome browser, my OS hangs for about 30 seconds. Event logs throw two errors, event ID: 508 and 533.

Catalog Database (1256) Catalog Database: A request to write to the file "C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\catdb" at offset 27361280 (0x0000000001a18000) for 4096 (0x00001000) bytes has not completed for 36 second(s). This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

I started running benchmarks out of curiosity and it appears my random 4k R/W speeds appear low to me:

I've ran a few different disk checks without a single error. Does it appear that my drive is failing, or does anyone have any ideas of other external factors that may cause this type of drive behavior? I purchased the drive about 8 months ago, and it currently about 75% full.

Other specs:
Windows 10 64-bit
AMD Radeon RX 480
AMD FX-8350
ASRock 970 Extreme4

If it's only when using the chrome browser, uninstall and reinstall it first. You can grab a copy of Victoria hdd utility which will scan the ssd for errors. My guess is an infection or virus that is stalling the system in some way enough to throw those errors. you can also try to run chkdsk /r which would fix any os-related drive issues.

Thanks, tried the reinstallation with no luck. Also tried Samsung Magician and a few other tools to scan for drive issues, but all comes back clean. No malware detected either.

If you don't mind losing personalized settings, you could also try tweaking.com's repair tool. It's a great program that can automatically repair windows without losing your programs or data.
