Would a Amd ryzen 7 1700 processor pair with a 760GM-P34(FX) (MS-7641) motherboard?

I currently have a 760GM-P34(FX) (MS-7641) motherboard and I am looking to upgrade my CPU to play more high end games. Just recently I've seen the releases and benchmarks of the new Ryzen 7 1700 processor. I am just wondering if i were to buy it would it pair with my motherboard? (I have a Amd rx 470 GPU)

Even if you do not upgrade to ryzen you should try to at least get a motherboard that will support an FX-8000 processor one I personally recommend is the ASUS 970 pro gaming. It is a great motherboard but keep in mind that it does not support any Ryzen cpu.

No.

That the AM3 socket

You would need a new motherboard that supports am4 and DDR4 ram

That's a board that comes in a prebuilt normally as well I know because I used to have it.

It only supports up to 6 core FX-6xxx processors

8 core FX 8XXX Isn't supported on that board

Why? it would be a decent performance upgrade and be within the budget. I do partially see your point though.
