How Do I O/C On Z97 Gaming 5 Mobo?

So, can someone tell me how to O/C on an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo? I have an i7 4790k, so it's unlocked. Right now, I'm using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Then after I got everything stable, I was going to make an O/Cing profile in the UEFI/BIOS. When I enter into the UEFI, I go to the OC menu and go to advanced. Right now, it seems the fastest I can go is all cores set to 4.6 GHz and the Processor Cache to 4.4 GHz. I've tried raising the voltage to support higher speeds, but it doesn't help. I've gone all the way up to 1.4v. It doesn't matter. I've got a CM Hyper 212 EVO on it too. I just got that. Before that, I had the stock HSF and used the stock thermal pad. When I took the HSF off, the thermal pad was partially gone and when I was using Turbo Boost @ 4.4 GHz, my temp would get up to 102 C and would obviously throttle. Now, I can go up to 4.6 GHz and the temp only gets to 86C.

Anyway, when I go into the UEFI, I don't see a Multiplier to change core speeds and the core speeds I do see are grayed out. I don't see how to change the core or the CPU Cache. Could someone please tell me where to find that at?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I was also wondering if you might know why the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility might not be keeping my O/C? I think System Mechanic changed something. The IETU service is on and the Intel Integrated Clock Controler Service is on, so something is off. What I have to do to get it to hold the O/C, once in Windows, is I just have to lower the clock multiplier down or up one, apply it and then change it back. It will stay until the next reboot. The CPU cache seems to load fine and yes I have a profile saved and loaded. It's got something to do with System Mechanic because it was loading before that. And before you say get rid of SM, it actually sped up my PC by around 20 to 25% and it lowered my startup RAM resources from 9% to 6 to 7%. It does work. I had already tweaked with services that I didn't need and this is my only problem now. There were a couple services I had to turn back on, the MS App Store and something else. Anyway, I know what I'm doing, I'm just not sure what's going on with keeping the O/C. If I can fix it in the UEFI, then I won't have to run the IETU. I might have a special version of IETU, not sure because it says MSI Intel Extreme Tuning Utility

So you used XTU to overclock and then went to BIOS to use the same settings?
86C is way too high - lower your clock/voltage and do it again in BIOS in small steps - don't use XTU.
Try resetting your CMOS to clear all settings - start small with an overclock changing only the multiplier and raising the voltage to 1.3v for now and then fine tune for what you want.

Try getting rid of System Mechanics just to try it out if you really want to O/C that way.

P.S - I've got the same board, it's very nice and stable for overclocking. I'm 4690k - 4.5GHz - 1.26v - 62c under x264 - EVO212
P.P.S - Don't go above 1.4v for long.
P.P.P.S - Unless you are going for bragging rights don't stress over .1-.2GHz - it just doesn't matter in real world scenarios.
