Noobie wanting to build a pc

Hey, I have no experience building desktops. I have a degree in computer science but I have little experience wit computer hardware. I would like to build an inexpensive desktop for music production including ableton live and video rendering with adobe after effects. I'm used to using laptops but would like to switch to desktop for production gaming is not really a concern. Any advice is appreciated. I would like to have 32 gb ram for rendering purposes as cheap as possible. I definitely need a tutorial or a video about building your own desktop as i've never attempted this before

what sort of budget re you looking at?

for Worjkstatuon type tasks liek you mention, a Ryzen 1800X, 1700x, or 1700 may be the best bet for you.
