Single/Dual channel memory problem in B1 and B2 DIMM slots

I have a dual channel memory problem.
basically I cant get slots B1 and B2 to work in my mother board...
I know I know "bad MB", "dim slots" or "cpu pins", I've done me research and double checked
no bent CPU pins
CPU-z and A-tuning system checker can detect all RAM in all 4 DIMM slots
so it seems like a compatibility issue.(?)

I have 2 older stick, and 2 new sticks here what i've tried:
2 old work in A1-A2 single channel
2 new work in A1-A2 single channel
1 old and 1 new work in A1-A2 single channel (does this mean they're compatible? same brand and spec ect.?)
however
2 new stick do not work in A1-B1 dual channel, only A1 slot is working single channel
2 old sticks do not work in A1-B2 dual channel, only A1 slot is working in single channel.

they are:
corsair vengeance 2x4GB sticks CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 v2.12 1600MHz DDR3 9-9-9-24
corsair vengeance 2x4GB sticks CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 v3.24 "" "" ""

my aim is to have 16GB RAM with 4x4GB sticks (2x8GB + 2x8GB sets) is this just impossible to achieve how I am trying?

is it possibly for DIMM slots to be "dead" even though it can detect RAM modules in CPU-z and the A-tuning program (not the BIOS)?

should I cut my losses and buy a 2x8 GB ram pack? (I don't really want to if there is a simple fix haha)

I am thinking this I a BIOS issue and its wont pickup the B1 and B2 slots, is there something I'm missing (I'm updated to the latest bios)?

is there a way to manually turn on dual channeling?

thanks in advance for your help

system specs:
MB: Asrock fatality h87 performance
RAM: 2x4GB corsair vengeance + 2x4GB Corsair vengeance
GPU: GTX 670
PSU: thunderbolt plus 850W
CPU: intel 4690K 4GHz standard intel cpu fan

We have the same problem... Your set-up is INTEL, mine is AMD... My CPU is also seated at Asrock Board... After installing new 240mm radiator water cooling... I noticed that my four identical DDR3 are not running in dual channel... A1 and A2 are working well but only running in single channel.

But what puzzled is that all of my 4 sticks are identified in (BIOS) ram timings, CPU-Z, and Asrock A-tuning...

I tried switching rams, attached one ram at a time, combining ram A1-B1 and vice versa... I also tried downgrading and upgrading the BIOS, clearing the CMOS, removing the motherboard battery, and reseating the CPU... Still, my set up is running at single channel...

I tried some diagnostic like 30minutes in Prime95 and 30 minutes of Windows Memory Diagnostic but no errors were discovered.
It seems that my CPU doesn’t have errors. Each of my stick doesn’t have errors too. This lead me to think that the culprit of this error is my Motherboard.

Last resort, I remove my NEW installed CPU (Athlon x4) and replaced it with my OLD APU (A10-7800) that had been sleeping at my closet, then everything went well... Ram timing back to dual channel again...

Still curios, I tried switching CPU and APU... There I Got the ANSWER... My CPU Athlon X4’s Memory Controller is not functioning well…
Don’t blame it right away on your CPU, Motherboard or Ram sticks right away… Carefully detect what is the real problem. If you got spare parts that still working, try installing them.

Hope my answer would guide you locate the error of your system.

I know a common problem with dual channeling is poor CPU pins, I have checked mine and they don't seem like there is any damage.
I am suspecting my motherboard, but also CPU memory controller could also be to blame.

I am not familiar with CPU memory controller, can you explain what this is or if it can be fixed?
(even a link with information would be fine)

Yeah your kinda right... I'm thinking the same thing too... My AMD CPU contain pins which I think got damage when I removed it from my MOBO... I'd pull it with force because it got stuck with my water radiator pump... CPU memory controller are hardcoded architecture of each CPU... It can't be altered nor change... Most Motherboard BIOS doesn't contain option for dual and single channel... Try installing your CPU to other Mobo...
