I want to build a gaming pc for the first, is this good? I'm aiming for around 60-144 fps at 1080p max settings for a couple years. Also any tips of tricks for a newbie?

60fps I'm pretty confident the 1070 will be capable of 60fps gaming for a couple of years, but who knows what the future of gaming graphics has in store for us.

futureproofing is a funny/dangerous concept, if you are trying to be futureproof, you will end up buying every new generation of hardware until you die.

Hope that helps.
