I'm using a ASUS Z-87 PLUS motherboard. Recently my GPU (GTX 780) died, more about that on this thread http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3333364/corrupted-broken-graphics-card-gtx-780.html
For now I was using my integrated card.

The only fix I had left to try for my GPU was to put it into a oven. I tried that yesterday. And today I had the chance to try and put it in. I put it in without the coolers, just to see if it worked. I got no picture so I assumed it didn't fix the problem. But when I tried to go back to the integrated card, it was still nothing.

When I try to power the PC on, the fans and HDD start working but the screen is black and the keyboard and mouse are not working. If I remember correctly the MoBo usually blinked light around (like near GPU, near RAM, near CPU..) that I assume was checking if everything was working correctly. Those light did not come on this time.

I have tried switching around/removing my RAM stick (I have had problems with those previously).
I don't really have to possibility to check if the problem is PSU but I doubt it.

My specs:
Intel Core i7-4770 3.40GHz
Seasonic M12II Series M12II-750 Bronze - 750 Watt 80 PLUS Bronze Certified
ASUS MB Z87 S1150 ATXZ87-PLUS ASUS
2x4GB RAM (I have had problems with these before)
250GB SSD
2TB HDD

The broken GPU that I put into oven:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Windforce 3X 3GB GDDR5 OC

Solution
As the symptoms lead to the dead motherboard. The last thing you can try is to check the PSU. Try with a different PSU and see if it works.
