I'm struggling to copy 200GB of MP3's from a internal sata HDD to my 2TB memory stick. Unfortunately my PC only has USB2 witch makes it very slow. 800k to 1MB/s . It took me 15Hrs to copy only 12GB of data. Surely there must me a easier and faster method. My Laptop does have a USB3 port but the data is not on there. I'm using Teracopy 64bit.

Sheesh! You could have bought a pre-assembled 2TB external WD hard drive for around £70 (no doubt even cheaper in the US).

I created a 40GB HDD image on my WD USB 2.0 external hard drive in just 45 minutes

Don't reckon much to your 2TB thing. I would return it for a refund and buy an external HDD.
You shouldn't be using flash media for data backups anyway.
The world's first 2TB flash USB stick was finally released two days ago for $1649. Look at the size of the thing compared to the USB connector!

Unless you bought one of those, it's likely that copying more data to it will overwrite earlier data.

Honestly, it's a desktop so you could've bought a real internal 2TB SATA HDD for $70 (plus a USB 3.0 dock for use on the laptop), or an $80 external HDD plus a PCIe USB 3.0 card.

it probably copied the 1st 12gb really fast, and been copying over it ever since,

The cost of an actual 2tb flash drive is probably higher than the PC he was backing up, given he only has USB 2.

I can't imagine 2tb of mp3 in first place, i only have 38gb of them and not enough time to listen to that many now.
