So I currently have the Dell Studio XPS 435MT, and I want to get a new graphics card for gaming. I was wondering whether or not the rx470 can even fit in the case since it quite small. Ofcourse I'm assuming that it is compatible with the motherboard. If the rx470 is not an option, is there any graphics card around the similar price and performance which I can use with the Dell Studio XPS 435MT.

1| At the onset, it's safe to say that the platform is quiet aged to suggest anything above a GTX700 series GPU or equivalent since the new GPU's refuse to work on motherboard with incompatible BIOS(or lack of an UEFI environment for that matter). Seeing that this is a prebuilt + Dell unit, you will most definitely be limited to older BIOS.
Edit: last BIOS update was released in 2009.

2| You would need to provide the specs of your system in order for us to understand what you were working with and what can be suggested as an upgrade.

3| An aftermarket GPU drop in will warrant you to change out the PSU.

4| Your case can accept a full height GPU though the length of the GPU is questionable.

I think the specs are the standard specs that are installed in the PC (nothing changed). I have looked it up and the motherboard seems to be the exact same. This is an old PC that stopped working a long time due to a power outage so I have to change the PSU anyway. Can you recommend a graphics card along with a suitable PSU for this unit?
