So I've seen some benchmarks and gameplay in CS:GO with this cpu but how come the FPS is so low? I play csgo a fair amount along with other games but mainly csgo so this is a huge deal for me.
I do video editing and streaming aswell so this is why i've been thinking about buying ryzen.
But dropping to 100 fps sometimes in extremely important games on 144hz? HMMMM

Gameplay on youtube video ryzen: 180fps average (ish) on 5v5 mode, dropping to 100fps lows.

1800x
ryzen 330 fps avg, min fps N/A
7700k 480 fps avg min fps N/A

CSGO seems to depend on a fast core, and the I7-7700K cores are faster.
I imagine that accounts for the difference.

If your editing app is most important and can keep 16 threads busy, then Ryzen 1800X may make sense.
My thought is that the I7-7700K is some $150 cheaper and has sufficient threads for editing.
Even if editing performance was not as good with a 7700k, , it is easier to tolerate longer batch run times than fps dips.
