so as the title says i can't decide whether to go for, i play watch dogs 2 and i have 1920x1080 monitor and a gtx 780 gpu
it has been 2 days and i still can't decide which combination to choose: x4 msaa+smaa using native resolution 1080p or 1440 dsr+smaa ,i don't trust my eyes in that so i need a pure technical answer in terms of quality i dont care about performance
thank u in advance :)

It's a tradeoff, but yeah 4xMSAA will give you a better combination of visuals and framerate. The pure visual quality of each can't be directly compared. The MSAA will work better where it's active, but a few things aren't affected by it and then DSR makes those bits look better.

Anyway, DSR is just a form of SSAA. That was the first type of AA ever, and MSAA was the first thing developed to replace it - because SSAA was terrible on performance. They're only bringing it back now (as DSR) for older games with low...

so x4 msaa would look better than 1440 dsr? as i don't care much about performance only image quality that matters

so from what i understand u use 1440+ 2xmsaa if it's possible,does that mean u choose it over 8x msaa (1080p) ??

Yes, personally that's what I do. I can't tell you whether that's the best image quality or not. It's just what I've always done. Matter-of-fact, I only started messing around with DSR once I had a ultrawide 1440p (3440 x 1440). I love amazing graphics as well.
