Hey guys. I just purchased some goodies off Newegg and I'm super excited to be putting together a new machine again.

My plan is to use my old PSU with the new build, but I'm actually not sure it will be enough. Any suggestions or help would be awesome. I bought this PSU in 2011 and it's been going strong ever since.

Current PSU: XFX P1-650X-CAH9 650W ATX12V v2.2 / ESP12V v2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

New build:

Mobo: ASUS TUF Z270 Mark 1 LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Z270 ATX Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz
RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0

Carry-over from old build:
SSD: Toshiba OCZ TR150 2.5" 240GB SATA III
HDD: Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD5000HHTZ 500GB

Thanks for any help!!!

Well thank you for the quick response! Do you know about when I will have to start looking into upgrading? I do plan on going 32gb ram and some mods on my PC when I can afford it.

If you add another GPU for SLI, then you'll need around 850w+. Otherwise, youre in good shape.

I'm going to be buying the HTC Vive when I can afford it, as well as a 4k TV which I will run my steam games through Steam link.
