Hello!

First off, prepare for a slighty long post. And I appreciate all help that I might get!

So I have been playing with the thought of finally building my first PC. I have many questions before I start, and I know it's many traps with the lack of knowledge. As I am fresh to PC building, I search your guidance here. Primary I need suggestions for silent/efficient fans, PSU and water cooling.
The main focus is a dead silent, clean and beautiful build with SSD only, but I would also prefere a decent result for 4K gaming and 3D designing. The theme is black and white, maybe with some silver details. Case and components in black; lights, cables and cooling in white.

I have set up a list of the main components, with prices taken now from pcpartpicker.com.

Screen: Samsung UE60KS7005 60" 4K TV
CPU:Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz (338,77$)
Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming M7 (244,99$)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB 2x16GB/4x8GB 3200MHz 16CL (324,97$/269.99$)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD ($167.88)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 1TB 2.5" SSD ($324.99)
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 EK X ($699.99)
Case: Fractal Design Define C w/window ($84.99)
PSU: Corsair AX760i ($209.99)
Total: $2396,57$. This is absolut total,

The Samsung TV and 500GB M.2 I already have, and the SSD I plan to put in the M.2 shield slot.

I have some wonderings about ram. I have heard there is dual and quad channel, and this mobo is dual. What happens with performance if I put in 4 sticks? And what is the benefit with higher speed? 3200 16CL and 3000 15CL ends up the same, right?

The PSU needs to be fully modular, and I chose AXi because it supports Corsair Commander Link. After some more searching I have added RM and HX to the list. I've seen RMx, RMi, HXi and AXi, what's the differences, and do they support Commander Link?
The motherboard also have functions to control fans and lights, MSI Mystic Light, what software would you recommend? I have a plan of fixing cables myself, but if someone knows any good pre-made cables in white or white/black I appreciate it.

When it come to water cooling I have been looking at EKWB. The GPU has a EK block pre-mounted. I was thinking dual 240mm radiators w/pumps (or a separate one) and a small reservoir. I was looking through YouTube to see builds in this case, and I found exactly what I had imagined. Check OC3D TV.
Should I have white or clear tubes, as the liquid will be white?
Since it's SSD only, I will remove the hard drive bracket and put the reservoir (and pump) inside the shroud.

A few questions at the end:
In MSI Mystic Light sync, do you know if I can change to white?
What fans is the most silent, for both 120mm and 140mm?
How do I hook up everything? I am thinking about the PSU's outputs, what cables goes where and how many do I need? Same with fans, lights and pump.

This got long, woah. So many thoughts, I welcome you into my brain!

Solution

    ■ The Z270 runs on dual channel RAM, even if you stuck four RAM sticks it'll still a dual channel bank with double capacity, more RAM mean more files/intructions can be load/allocated inside RAM which is faster than HDD/SSD where CPU can read a lot lot faster.
    ■ Before you purchase high speed RAM, check MSI Z270 Gaming M7 Memory QVL if you already set your mind on it you can download latest BIOS from https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z270-GAMING-M7.html#down-bios with your CellPhone.
G-Skill DDR4 4133 F4-4133C19D-16GTZKW (GTZ = Gskill Trident Z, KW = Black heatspreader with White strip) is one of High Speed DDR4 listed on there. Your selected Corsair should also listed there CMK****(CMK = Corsair Vengeance, 32GX =...

    ■ The software is useful to find out how much components draw power (watt) and ampere, Theremaltake also has equipped their latest Titanium PSU with DSP (similar approach to corsair link for reading system info and power usage). You'll find AX series is Titanium 80+ grade, HX = Platinum and RM = Gold, like EVGA T2 = Titanium, P2 = Platinum and G2 = Gold. A titanium PSU suppose to pass Titanium Certification of 90% + efficient, platinum = 85 to 87.5% +, the efficiency is measured on how much A/C watt is drawn to produce D/C watt. I.E, your total PC components use 500 watt, a titanium PSU draw ~ 550 watt and platinum PSU draw ~ 565 to 575 watt.
Corsair HX is Platinum grade PSU with good parts (top capacitors and good reviews).
    ■ Custom individually sleeved cable are expensive, https://store.cablemod.com/configurator/
    ■ Asus Aura, MSI Mystic, and Gigabyte Ambient offers RGB LED customizing/synchronizing including graphic card and some case that support LED/RGB sync.
Water Cooling

  • ■ Check your compatibility on https://www.ekwb.com/configurator/ also estimate your case clearance along with components size.
    ■ If you only cool CPU+GPU then I recommend Alphacool Eisbaer 360 (CPU waterblock + reservoir + pump + 360mm radiator + fans Expandable All In One) to connect MSI Seahawk EK X you also need to add tube and four more fittings also two plug matching your inner/outer diameter ID/OD tube size, you can make your own distilled water as coolant or buy branded coolant. Eisbaer is easier to bleed and drain than EKWB XLC Predator or other Expandable AIO.
    ■ Problem with non clear transparent tube is on the first time bleed/pump priming, on transparent tube you can spot bubbles. I recommend clear tube with white dye.
    ■ Easiest way for assembly is by video tutorials, manual book and ask here.
