Whats up guys?

Anyway I have 2 PCs already build well I had them for a while but im thinking if it would be better to switch around my pcs.

The streaming one has an i7 4790k stock and the gaming pc has an FX 8320 @ 4.7ghz with a 980ti.

I was thinking about switching over and making the i7 my gaming pc and using the amd as my streaming pc.

Been reading alot and seems like intel is alot better for gaming and I feel like the FX should do fine with encoding ect.. since its a dedicated stream pc.

What do you guys recommend ?? I dont wana rip them apart just yet haha.

Alright thanks! yeah had this FX for like 5 years now I think. I was actually considering getting another 4790k and a mobo and switching it out to get rid of amd but figured it should do good enough as an encoding rig. If I were to upgrade to a new setup id prolly go with intel just atm its like if i upgrade the cpu, mobo and ram since it will be ddr4 and im on ddr3, I might as well build a whole new PC at that point so just trying to make the best of what I got.

Depending on what you're streaming an Intel rig would take $1000 for just a processor. If you're playing DotA or lol or something simple a regular i7 can handle it. If you're playing bf1 or something like that honestly you need to choose a 6900k or a ryzen 1700 oced around 3.9-4.1

the 4790k does fine in all the games i stream keep in mind its a 2 pc set up so im not using just one to stream. In obs 720p 60fps medium encoding n 3500bitrate cpu is at like 40% usage. If I want better encoding then yeah id have to get a better cpu but im pretty happy with what i got. I just stream for fun as a hobby.
