I know the "k" in 6600k is for overclocking but i dont have a motherboard for overclocking.
In my country the price diference between the i5-7400 and the i5-6600k is of $75 dollars. Which one should i buy?
I want a good performance and i am willing to spend those 75 bucks

Core i5 6600K 3.5 GHz Quad Core 6 MB Socket 1151
Core i5 7400 3.0 GHz Quad Core 6 MB Socket 1151

Solution
Is your motherboard H110 or B150? If so, you might need to update its BIOS if you'll be plugging in a Kaby Lake CPU (such as the i5-7400). Those motherboards work with Skylake CPUs (such as i5-6600K) out-of-the-box, so you might want to consider those factors.

$75 is a lot to pay for in getting an overclockable CPU which you can't take advantage of for a slightly higher base clock speed.

The i5-6600K is 3.5GHz (Base) up to 3.9GHz (Boost), non-OC'd). If I were you, I'd get the i5-7500 instead: 3.4GHz (Base) up to 3.8GHz (Boost) speeds, non-OC. If budget can accommodate, you might want to consider the i5-7600 too: 3.5GHz (Base) up to 4.1GHz (Boost) speeds, "faster" than that i5-6600K, when non-OC'd.
