As I said, world of warcraft is unfortunately designed to be very un-complex in graphical polygon density on the display. It makes it kid friendly, and super easy for all levels of systems old to new to run.

It's going to happen. Contact them with error reports and have them patch it. That might work over time.

Older games will experience this, and quite frequently.

Attempt to adjust your shadow and lighting quality, those MAY help.

Does it do it in any other games?

That's generally from poorly optimized textures in games. That's not a true "artifact"
A true artifact would be misshapen objects or something like a vertex on one of the faces from a polygon in your characters cape suddenly stretching into infinity.

To highlight:
The first shadow glitch is where the polygon from the end of the bridge overlaps the polygon from the edge of the platform. The shadow is being projected onto the platforms object, but not directly on the bridge. What happens in most cases is when two faces are occupying the exact same space, it tends to show strange texture tearing and odd patterns between the two as one fights to render over the other.

This also goes for the ropes. They may have done a terrible job at modeling that specific segment of rope.

The cape? Probably bad mipmapping in the texture packs.

This glitching becomes more prevalent when using lower settings and in older games, as some modern post processing effects can override these issues, and in most cases higher graphical settings allows for more faces or polygon detail, which can offset overlapping polygons slightly.

I modified my earlier post to clarify some points of what I mean. Check it out.

It could fix some of them with higher detail levels, as I said. This is simply due to object rendering complexity, as it allows for more polygon detail in objects, which significantly reduces the chances of overlapping polygons.

Unfortunately in world of warcraft, it is just like that though. That game is designed for any level of computer to use, and is generally done in a low detail package as far as polygon density. You can add post processing effects to make the game look better, but the underlying polygons don't change in that game.

Well, sometimes lighting settings can have an effect, or shader settings.

Sorry to be that guy, and it sucks.

Just submit reports to the moderators of the graphical errors and I'm sure it will get patched in time if they want to devote the resources to it. Hopefully they do, as it does effect the professionalism of their product.
