Yesterday my computer blacked out and crashed whilst playing Total War. Now i get really low FPS on every game i own and i really don't know what the problem might be. The computer was working just fine up until this moment. I'm thinking it might be either my CPU or my GPU but i'm not really sure. Please help me.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 770-DC2

Do you have many background applications running when playing the game? this is maybe why your cpu is at 100% the entire time. I know this sounds weird but could you smell the psu when its running a game? the reason why I'm asking such a stupid thing is because there might be something fried in your psu making it a fire hazard too (something nobody wants). If it does smell odd, please replace it asap and don't turn on your pc as it will potentially burn everything on the spot. good luck!

did you download anything in the past that might be a malware issue like viruses?? if not, could you tell me long you have your components, time may take a toll on the reliability but seeing that it probs 2-3 years old, I don't see that being an issue. Maybe check the temperatures of your components, it might be that they are overheating. I know theres a lot that could have gone wrong but its possible that its your psu as well. If your psu does not power your components well, they will not function properly.
Any ideas?

Well as said, it might be my PSU. My PSU is actually my oldest component (atleast 6 yrs old) but now after the crash i now can see that the CPU usage is 100% when in game but my GPU usage only around 30-35%, is that any proof enough? The temperature for the GPU is also pretty low, it's around 50 degrees celsius in game so that should also be ok.
